Adult Christian Education takes various forms here at First Presbyterian. We have over ten classes, small groups, and gatherings for men's and women's studies offered throughout the week. Visit our music page to learn about our choirs and instrumental offerings.
Singles and Doubles
Sunday mornings at 9:45 am in Room 306. The Singles & Doubles class provides a caring Sunday School Class for single adults and married couples. It nurtures each member with warm fellowship, delightful social activities, and faithful, well-developed Bible lessons.
Westminster Adult Women's Small Group
This group of women are faithful participants who seek God's guidance and understanding each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. in Room 308.
Wednesday Night Program
Each week we gather in the Fellowship Hall for dinner (serving begins at 5:45 pm) and a program beginning at 6:30 pm. Our program topics vary, but always keep the church's mission in mind as we study prayer and topics of faith while growing deeper in the Word, in our relationship with God, and in our relationship with each other. And, we don't forget the fun...Trivia Nights and other activities.
Women of Faith
All ladies are welcome to meet at 10:00 am on the second Monday of each month, at the church for an hour of fun and faith followed by lunch out.
Come grow in fellowship and faith on the second Monday of the month at 7:00 pm. Meetings rotate among member’s homes.
Men's Small Group
This group of dedicated men meet in the Commons at 7:00 am. each Thursday. They read scripture, meditate on its meaning, and discuss how the scripture speaks to them and relates to their lives. All men welcome!
Servants of the Lord
This group is for those men and women who enjoy seeing the tangible results of their labor! Join these hard workers to paint, repair, maintain and beautify our historic church! They usually meet at 8:00 am the 1st Saturday of each month.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
These lovely ladies create beautiful prayer shawls for those facing surgery, illness or family crisis. Come join the circle, learn to knit or put your talents to work to create meaningful shawls to wrap others in love and prayer.
Downtown Hampton Child Development Center
Help promote our partnership with our friends at Downtown Hampton Child Development Center as they nurture young children by providing affordable, quality preschool programs that develop the 'whole child' and foster school readiness.
Improve strength, flexibility and well being! Contact Tara Joseph to become part of our Yoga community. Meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:30 am and Tuesday evenings at 5:30 in our Yoga room on the first floor. First visit is FREE. Mats provided!
